Questions to Help You Complete Your 3 Paragraph Post
- What type of social justice are you interested in learning about and presenting an art form? When deciding on a topic, there are a few things that you will need to do:
— brainstorm for ideas
— choose a topic that will enable you to read and understand the literature
— ensure that the topic is manageable and that material is available
— make a list of keywords and be flexible
— research and read more about your topic
— formulate a thesis statement - What is your topic and why did you choose it?
Give examples of where this injustice is happening? And why should society change it? - What would happen if society should change it? And how are you the artist should show it?
Social Justice
Is based on the concepts of human rights and equality, and can be defined as “the way in which human rights are manifested in the everyday lives of people at every level of society”.
Four Principles of Social Justice
- Access: greater equality of access to goods and services
- Equity: overcoming unfairness caused by unequal access to economic resources and power
- Rights: equal effective legal, industrial and political rights
- Participation: expanded opportunities for real participation in the decisions which govern our/their lives.
