About

I am a graphic and web designer by profession, but I started teaching for the New York City Department of Education in 2002. I am currently working on my Doctorate in Computer Science and Information Systems at Pace University. I have a Bachelor of Technology in Communication Arts from City Tech (CUNY) in Brooklyn and a Masters of Art in Commercial Art from New York Institute of Technology (Manhattan Campus).

My expertise includes strong hands-on technical skills with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and full knowledge in software applications such as Adobe Creative Suites and Desktop Publishing. Over the past 20+ years, I have had the wonderful opportunity to instruct a diverse group of high school students, and as a result, I have developed highly effective teaching techniques and curriculum, which has allowed me to educate all styles of learners, and foster a fun and engaging learning environment that effectively teaches interactive technology, promotes creativity, and encourages growing independence.

One of my greatest strengths as an educator is creating curriculum with real life project-based assignments using media.  My goal is to increase student motivation, awareness, and understanding of technology through technology, while implementing interdisciplinary-based lessons involving social studies, science, english, math, and multiculturalism.
