  • In the first half of the year, students had difficulty completing their performance task, mini-blog post, and even documenting their process on a WordPress site.
  • Structures that were in place was not enough to help students stay and complete a task. When I started introducing more scaffolding structures, graphic organizers, and questioning/discussions protocols students started to give in more quality work.
  • Design Thinking Process Worksheets helped students to write great artist statements that explained their process for creating their artwork.
  • Students were more proud of the work accomplished, especially in the typeface project. Students are more prideful of the work they are creating as seen in the portfolios below. This is a work in progress as some students asked could they go back and complete pages for work they did previously.
